Hello! And welcome to Folkestone Peoples Partnership.
This Website is under continuing development – it’s an ongoing work in progress…
with input from like-minded people and supporters.
We are adding more information about this new community platform bit by bit: our aim is to comment on social, political and general issues with a particular relevance to the Folkestone community. Wherever possible we engage with representatives of the ‘third sector’ – community groups and charities – and with community representatives at all levels of government.
They are there to work for us and it’s clear that local views on priorities for our community are changing: we need to challenge inequality; support the activists and practical work of volunteers, collectives and others; call our Councillors to account for their commitments, priorities and responsibilities. Thank you for your interest and your input via our social media and in conversations, meetings and other ways…..
For now… here are a few starting points:
Read some of our latest blogs – links on the front page and also here
Take a look at our brief introduction to FPP – to give you some idea of what we’re all about.
Have a look at some of the first links we’ve put together to support people in our local community on the Help and Support page – with a special section for families – maybe you could suggest some useful info about the Folkestone community we could usefully add to the site…
We’ll be adding a directory for some of the amazing partnership groups in Folkestone and the surrounding area – so let us know if you have suggestions…
Finally, if you feel in sympathy with our overall aims – celebrating and working for and with Folkestone People – then do please click on the ‘Join us’ menu button – to add to our listings of people who would like to keep in touch with us – getting the occasional email newsletters etc.
