Politics in this country is going through exceptionally “interesting times’ – with a change of government in Julyl 2024 and plans emerging for a major reorganisation of local government in the next 2-3 years in our region of Kent.
Many will agree that there has been a growing divide between those who believe in “trickle-down” economic policy allowing market forces to determine opportunity and those of us who want see a different model for social justice.
The response this creates can be seen as a line between apathy and anger: many react to the current political climate by positioning themselves at one end or the other of this spectrum. Somewhere on that line lies the option of taking action instead of feeling angry or powerless.
