A Warm Welcome to this new platform for community action and political voice in your community.
The information in this short section is an introductiom to FPP – and how you can get involved if you want to.
It’s early days – and it will take a little time to set out the full picture of what we are hoping to achieve.
Our main goal is to provide a fresh new view as an alternative approach to community issues and community development.
We have one simple priority – you – our local community.
We are not tied to any of the major political parties – we share a set of ideas and views on what is needed in Folkestone and the surrounding area; one thing is sure – we need change and we need it as soon as possible.
We are committed to working with and for local people.
We believe that those elected to represent the community should focus on voice – listening – and deliver choice
Cooperation, Hope, Opportunity, Integrity, Commonsense and Excellence: CHOICE
Instead of The Place Plan put forward by the District Council with little or no involvement of the local community,
we would like to develop The People Plan in a proper discussion with local people.
This Plan should map out the best of Folkestone as well as what needs doing to improve Folkestone.
Most important of all, it should set out how local people stand to benefit from the present and the future in our town.
Getting involved in FPP

FPP in action – key information for you
We have a draft constitution which is currently being reviewed and revised and will be published here soon.
Click here to read our Five Point Plan – our FPP manifesto which we would like to see supported by candidates in the May local elections. We also have specific pledges which we believe most candidates – regardless of party – should be making.
There has never been a more important time to use your voice and to use your vote for change.
